Q: Can Formation Creation's gas logs be used in any fireplace?
A: No, they must always be used in a fireplace with a chimney or escape provided by some kind of operable venting. FC's logs are called "vented" gas logs and are approved for all wood-burning fireplaces.

Q: What are "vented" and "unvented" gas fire logs?
A: Vented logs can only be used in a fireplace that allows for the escape of fumes up through a vent or chimney. Unvented logs may be used in a free-standing fireplace without a vent or a chimney.

Q: What are Formation Creation's logs made of?
A: They're made of all-ceramic materials. Even the refractory binder as well as fillers are volcanic ceramic materials. The dyes, hand-painted on each log, give them their astonishing, realistic appearance. The finished log is reinforced with steel rods as a protective measure.

Q: Do the log sets come with a warranty?
A: Yes, they come with a lifetime breakage warranty for the original purchaser of the new product through a licensed retailer. Return the broken log with proof of purchase. Allow 12 working days from time of receipt of the broken log for delivery of the replacement.

Q: Are Formation Creation's gas fire logs environment-friendly?
A: Yes, they are. Using natural or propane gas in a fireplace helps to preserve our forested lands. Natural gas, when used appropriately, preserves the ecosystem of our planet by decreasing the rate of destruction of our forests and its wildlife.

Q: Can the distribution of flames around the logs be adjusted?
A: Yes. Use a flat spatula or wide-bladed knife with a long handle to dig away the sand to get more flames or to make small mounds with the sand to get less.

Q: What about testings, ratings and approvals by agencies?
A: FC gas fire logs pass all Federal standards and have been approved and certified by CSA International.
